A stylish antique black opal ring crafted in 18ct gold. The large black opal doublet is milgrain bezel set in a simple and elegant setting with a tapering shank. The opal has good play of colour and presents deep blues, teals and bright greens.

THE GEMS: A very good black opal doublet with the opals natural potch on the back of the opal. Potch is a part of the opal which does not present any of the colours of the opal.
MEASUREMENTS: Size UK J, US 4 1/2
WEIGHT: 3.4gms
MATERIALS: 18ct gold, opal and opal potch
CONDITION:. Good overall condition, a chip is present to the potch on the back of the opal although this does not go as deep as the coloured opal.
MARKS: LEVINSON, 18ct
MAKER: Levinson and Sons was a Western Australian jeweller active from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's.
