A fabulous french natural sapphire cabochon ring. The flush set sapphire cabochon has a high dome similar to a sugarloaf cut. The ring has a very satisfying smooth seamless lines, a truly stylish little french number.

THE GEM: A beautiful natural sapphire. The gem has a small inclusion which creates a slight chatoyant effect (like a cats eye effect) due to reflections, this is a common feature of blue sapphire cabochons. The sapphire calculates as 1.30ct, diameter 5.70mm.
WEIGHT:
Size : Size 5 1/2 US, K UK. Resizable please contact me to arrange.
MATERIALS: Gold and Sapphire.
HALLMARKS: Stamped '750'. The dealer I bought it from had it assayed in the UK when they got it, and as the metal tested 17.5ct the assay office had to hallmark it with the next number down from 18ct which is 14ct. This is a very small hallmark on the inside, there is the French eagle mark on the outside of the band.
CONDITION: Great antique condition.
