A very fine antique Edwardian opal and old brilliant cut diamond ring. The opal exhibits a strong display of colour, from lilac, turquoise to mermaid green and yellow with flashes of pink and orange. Set off beautifully by 13 firey and icey old cut diamonds.

ERA: Edwardian 1910's

THE GEMS: A fine white opal measuring 11mm x7mm and 3mm deep, surrounded by 13 old brilliant cut diamonds approx 0.12ct, SI1-SI3 clarity, and J colour.

MEASUREMENTS: The head measures 17.5mm x 13.5mm. with the shank tapering from 2mm-1mm.

WEIGHT: 5.2gms

MATERIALS: Platinum, 14ct gold, opal and diamonds

CONDITION: Good condition overall, the shank has been changed from gold to a platinum band at some point in its life time, the head of the ring sits on a 14ct band of gold.

HALLMARKS: 
Unmarked
